So, what do you change about a kite that already works very well? At Slingshot, they are continuously testing new materials. For the Slingshot Machine V2, a new type of Dacron has been used that is not only considerably lighter than the old Dacron but also much stiffer. This new Dacron material combined with the 5 struts ensures that the kite maintains its profile very well in strong winds. So, whatever the condition, the Slingshot Machine V2 will remain super stable and give you all the confidence to make the most of your session. The Machine is a hybrid kite with an Open-C canopy that provides hang time and easy lift. The fabric of the kite is made with 4X4 canopy technology. This canopy is made of reinforced Teijn 4X4 ripstop nylon, which is one of the strongest, stiffest, and most durable canopies on the market. Additionally, the number of canopy panels used in the kite has been drastically reduced to significantly decrease weight and achieve a more aerodynamic profile. 

The Slingshot Machine V2 2023 features an "Optimized Bridle System without Pulleys." The bridles no longer have pulleys, making the kite feel much more direct. Slingshot uses extremely thin static lines, which means the rider feels much less resistance. The kite has different attachment points, allowing for adjustments in power and handling, and riders can fully customize the kite to their riding style.
