Core Kiteboarding tips for kitesurfing on a twintip

A twintip is the most commonly used form of kiteboard. A twintip has an elongated rectangular design that allows you to ride in both directions and easily go upwind. Twintips come with footstraps that provide grip on the board. With a twintip kiteboard, you can ride fast and jump high. Each kiteboard has its own character depending on the design, rocker, channels, flex, and construction. Below, we tell you all about the different twintip kiteboards from Core, such as the Fusion, Choice, and Bolt.

Core Fusion twintip kiteboard

The Core Fusion kiteboard is a high-performance, all-terrain twintip. A pleasure for everyone. It's like sailing on a flying carpet. The Core Fusion features a medium V-rocker with multiple channels and a double concavity for excellent grip and very smooth turns. The Cartan® carbon construction gives the Fusion more pop, soft landings, and a lightweight feel without compromising its durability. The Core Fusion is also available in kiteboard versions for light winds in sizes 147 x 44 and 152 x 46. Read the full description of the Core Fusion kiteboard here.

Core Choice twintip kiteboard

Do you like to ride fast with a lot of grip to reach the highest height possible? Then the Core Choice is the perfect kiteboard for you. The Core Choice is a freestyle-oriented twintip kiteboard. Its medium flat rocker and multiple channels provide great speed and a lot of control. The V-shape on the bottom of the Core Choice makes it easy to ride in choppy waters without difficulty. The Cartan® carbon construction is used for optimal flex and durability. A true premium board for freestyle/big air kitesurfing. You can read all about the Core Choice kiteboard here.

Core Bolt twintip kiteboard

Wakestyle is your thing. You ride more unhooked than hooked. The Core Bolt is a twintip kiteboard designed for the most extreme unhooked tricks. It has huge pop thanks to the rocker and the special Cartan® carbon construction. It provides great grip due to its numerous deep channels and V-shaped concavity. Additionally, the high rocker and V shape give it smooth landings. The Core Bolt is stiff and features an extra strong Cartan® carbon construction. It has an additional gravel base on the bottom so you can do tricks on sliders and obstacles without damaging the board. Check out the Core Bolt kiteboard here.

In addition to twintips, Core also manufactures excellent directional surfboards. A directional board is the perfect toy for playing in the waves. Core's directional boards are designed in Fehmarn and manufactured in Portugal by shapers and expert glassers.

Core 720 directional kiteboard

The 720 is a surfboard designed especially for freestyle without straps. If you are looking for a surfboard with many technical features and an incredible design, the 720 is perfect for you. The 720 has an EPS/Epoxy and Hexagon Foam construction for greater durability and ideal flex patterns. It is perfect for you if you prefer your board directional over the twintip and want to perform strapless rotations or cut the waves every time you surf in your favorite spot. Frequent travelers will also love its compact design, which fits perfectly in a board bag. You can read all about the Core 720 directional here.

Core Green Room directional kiteboard

The Green Room II Surfboard. This surfboard is not a directional for beginners with all-terrain capabilities; it is built for surfing big waves and optimized for strong swell conditions. With its new construction, it is more resistant, durable, and lighter than ever. Additionally, the Green Room II is now also Eco Boards certified thanks to the use of more sustainable materials. Check out the Core Green Room directional here.

Core Kiteboarding kiteboard technology

Core's kiteboards are exceptional. This does not happen automatically, as a lot of research and development is required beforehand. The result is a variety of techniques, materials, and innovations that ensure Core's kiteboards are incredibly good and durable. Below, we present a summary of the most important techniques that Core uses in its kiteboards.

Construction of Core Cartan® Carbon kiteboards

In the Core Fusion, Core Choice, and Core Bolt models, Core has used the exclusive Cartan® Carbon. It is a 30-degree biaxial carbon fiber. This Cartan® fiber optimizes flex and torsion. The fiber has more flex in the length than on the heel side. The Cartan® carbon requires less epoxy, which reduces weight.

Core Kiteboarding Vario Rails

Core has used a variable thickness in the edges of its kiteboards. The thickness ranges from thick in the center to thinner towards the tips. This gives the kiteboard specific characteristics. The thickness varies in each board, such as in the Fusion, Choice, and Bolt models. You can read the different thicknesses in the full product descriptions.

Core Kiteboarding V-shape

Part of the bottom profile of Core kiteboards has been inspired by high-speed boats, which have a V-shaped keel to cut through the water. The tips of Core kiteboards also feature this V shape. This allows the boards to glide easily in chop and have smooth landings. In the Choice and Bolt models, this V continues along the board, while in the Fusion it is less visible.

Channel system in Core kiteboards

The Core kiteboards are all twintips designed for exceptional performance. Therefore, all the boards have multiple channels, some deeper than others. The Core Bolt has the most numerous and deepest channels, while the Fusion has the least. The channels provide you with speed and grip, essential for reaching your maximum level in kitesurfing.
