North Carve Kitesurf Kite 2023

The Carve is a powerful, reactive, and controllable kite, ideal for carving on the face of a wave, getting into a barrel, or boosting tricks without straps. Designed with a stable design and a lower aspect ratio for quick pivot turns and excellent drift, the Carve has an extremely direct feel both in bar pressure and in initiating direction. For 2023, we are placing the Carve back in its wave surf category.

The refined bridling for a longer and progressive ride means that the kite feels smoother and more responsive throughout the depower range. It remains reactive when you do, all the way to the end. The overall improved balance also enhances the drift, so when you ride, it glides on the line, waiting for the input from your bar.

A more intuitive control, especially when the kite is not visible in a large downloop, in a cut back, or in a barrel, means you can focus 100% on the waves. The Carve has a slightly reduced leading edge diameter and tapered profiles. This gives the kite a smoother power delivery, improves the high-end wind range, and helps you ride deeper in the pocket for longer. The kite won't aggressively pull you off the rail and you'll have smoother landings when making big jumps. The Carve 2023 will also relaunch faster in critical situations.

We have introduced lighter bladders in all sizes and a lighter two-layer reinforcement. This reduces weight and helps improve turning speed in light wind while maintaining the durability of the Carve for surfing. The Carve now flies faster, generating more power and speed from the board. It shoots upwind. Experienced riders will benefit from the impressive power and efficiency of the kite, while intermediate riders will find it offers smoother and easier handling.

Freeride and strapless freestyle enthusiasts will love the improved hang time and the catch for kite loops and smoother landings.
