Wavepark Carver Shadow

Since sector 9 was founded by surfers in La Jolla, California (you should already know this), it is fitting that our boards would be heavily inspired by surfing over the years. This year's Swell photo collection is no different. You are probably familiar with the Wave images by Ben Thouard from Tahiti, as we have featured his incredible photography on decks in the past. However, we have added to our growing water list for this collection with photographer Phillip Thurston. Hailing from NSW, Australia, Thurston's photos often feel more like fluid motion paintings than captured images, and we are both excited and honored to present his work on our newest boards.
