Everything that hinders the best possible connection, starting with the kite and then transferring to the lines, the bar, the board, and the foil, must be perfectly harmonized.

The Slingshot UFO kite changed kite foiling forever with its zero-rib design that offers supernatural levels of drift, upwind range, and responsiveness. The inflatable FlexLITE skeleton of the UFO V3, made with high-tenacity 140 g/m2 polyester, further reduces the weight of the UFO without sacrificing performance or durability. With swept wing tips and an intelligent Compact Swept C canopy shape, the Slingshot UFO V3 has been designed for effortless water relaunch. Complementing the optimized minimalism of the UFO is the new zipperless kite bag with a roll-top closure that keeps the weight to an absolute minimum while maximizing comfort and packability.

FLEXLITE

Fundamental for improved performance and the lighter weight of the UFO V3 is the FlexLITE, which is used in the leading edge frame. FlexLITE features an increased 1:1 open thread orientation that allows the frame to flex and breathe under the rider's input. This flex provides a more responsive and quicker direction while allowing the rider to generate more apparent wind through the loop. Weighing 140 grams per square meter, the weight reduction provided by FlexLITE optimizes the drift and allows for less air resistance.

TRIMFLIGHT BRACKET

With lines 25% thinner, the TrimFlight Bridles offer very low drag, significantly increasing the efficiency and response of the UFO. More than just being lightweight, the geometry, length, and placement of the bridle lines were intelligently designed to enhance the first-class performance characteristics of the UFO's Compact Swept C hybrid shape.

COMPACT CANOPY IN C SHAPE

The patented Compact Swept C shape of the UFO V3 features a compact arc with a lower aspect ratio that provides excellent control, pivoting, and edging. The swept wing tips were specifically designed for a ribless kite to ensure effortless and reliable relaunch in the water. The Swept C shape offers responsive and immediate power management to avoid over-foiling.

AIR FRAME WITHOUT RIBS

A bold and striking innovation when it was originally launched in 2020, the ribless airframe of the UFO required countless hours of research and development to perfect. The result is an almost complete elimination of drag, allowing the Slingshot UFO to fly in the lightest winds and achieve unlimited upwind, superior angles against the wind, and an intuitive response, all critical factors for true foil performance.

FLYWEIGHT 2X2 CANOPY TECHNOLOGY

It is the lightest canopy material used in any Slingshot kite, without sacrificing stiffness or durability. The 2X2 Flyweight canopy technology is made of reinforced ripstop nylon with a 2X2 fabric that offers a significant weight saving compared to our 4X4 Canopy Technology, yet still provides exceptional tear and stretch resistance.

RIDER CUSTOMIZATION SYSTEM (RCS)

Completely customize the performance of the UFO with the new rider customization system, which incorporates three knots in the bridle lines with three knots in the flying lines of the Sentry control bar. RCS allows you to finely adjust the handling, power delivery, and performance of the UFO to perfectly align it with your riding style and the conditions of a particular session. Using the RCS, a rider can incrementally shorten or lengthen the flying and power lines, which easily and intelligently adjusts the turning speed of the UFO, the power level, the angle of attack, and the bar pressure.
