The Elite SUP story is built with speed, strength, and rigidity in mind. The board is constructed with what are called PVC plastic rails (sides). The sides consist of a mandatory internal PVC layer that seals the top and bottom of the board, followed by a wider outer layer that strengthens the seal and hardens the construction. The sides of a double rail SUP like this can withstand impacts and scratches without puncturing. Additionally, the board holds air better (often for several months if stored in the shade). Safety on the water is excellent, and the risk of puncture is low. A towing eye is mounted at the front if you need rescue.
With its reinforced side wall structure, Story Elite can handle incredibly high pressure. We recommend inflating your SUP to the maximum limit to make the board as rigid as possible. It is under extremely high pressure that the board shows its full potential. You should not be afraid to overinflate the board; it can handle much more than you think.
The Fin on Story Elite is a true SUP fin. It is deep and directionally stable, but with a lot of rake (backward tilt) to smooth out turns. The fin is located in the center and has no side fins to reduce speed. The fin fits a US fin box where the position can be adjusted forward and backward to make the board more directionally stable or lively. It also has the option to mount a fin of your choice. The SUP package includes a three-piece aluminum paddle with a lightweight displacement and, therefore, an effective angle of attack in the water. The blade is made of hard plastic. It can be easily disassembled so it doesn't take up much space in the bag or car. The paddle can be height adjusted with a quick-release system. The package also includes a safety strap so the board doesn't drift away from you when you fall in the water. The pump is a fast double-action pump that blows air both when pulling the handle up and pushing it down. Everything can be stored in the spacious transport bag.
