The latest race-specific Ozone kite is here! No compromises were made on this kite; every aspect of this kite is carefully designed with one goal in mind: to be the highest performing kite on the racetrack. 

The R1 V4 is developed in close collaboration with riders like Axel Mazella, Toni Vodisek, and Nico Parlier. The V4 design takes its previous models to the next level. It offers increases in performance in speed, stability, and power while maintaining the well-known ease of use and accessibility of the R1. 

The V4 has a redesigned internal structure that allowed for an increase in the number of cells by up to 8%. Due to the additional internal pressure, it was possible to reduce the flange line by up to 12%. This, in turn, greatly reduces parasitic resistance and keeps the kite in perfect condition. 

Ozone didn't stop there. The most important part of the aerodynamic profile area, the leading edge, now features Double Transversal Shaping, which means a cleaner surface. This results in a more laminar airflow over the rest of the wing, significantly increasing the possible driving angles. 

Ultra-light materials are used throughout the kite. The sizes from 15 to 21 m use an even lighter material for the internal structure to further reduce weight and increase performance in light winds. 

The charming air intakes on the leading edge optimize internal air pressure. The intakes also result in faster inflation and improved sealing, which in turn gives you more chances to relaunch the kite after touching the water. 

Ozone made a great effort to simplify and optimize its Pro-Tune speed system. The diameter of the line is now reduced, decreasing weight and resistance. As with all high-performance racing kites, the bridles and speed system will require regular maintenance. Ozone recommends checking the trimming of the kites and the bridle lines every 60 hours of flight. Bridle lines that do not meet factory specifications or are worn (+- 15 mm) should be replaced. Worn speed system lines should be replaced, and if they do not meet factory specifications, they should be adjusted to fit the specifications.

The Ozone R1 V4 must be packed using the concertina method. The compressor bag for closed cell kites, available separately, will assist you with this. Rolling the kite or packing it in any other way will affect the shape of the leading edge struts. The struts play a crucial role in the design to maintain an appropriate leading edge profile for the R1, ensuring the expected flight characteristics and stability. Improper storage of the kite will void the warranty.
