Ozone Reo V7 Kite

Light wave kite oriented towards performance by Ozone
Ozone has worked hard in recent years to develop a wave kite with new innovative materials, and successfully so. The new Ozone Reo V7 kite retains the DNA of the original V7 but is stronger, lighter, and offers significantly greater performance thanks to lightweight and rigid materials. The kite provides smooth and predictable drift and a direct bar feel, allowing you to always know the position of the kite without looking. The drift in light wind improves, and when depowered, the kite is more stable than ever. If you are a serious wave surfer looking for a kite that guarantees your progression, the new Ozone Reo V7 kite is definitely the kite for you!

The new Ozone Reo V7 kite features new materials, but what has changed exactly and why? Let's start with the frame. The frame remains almost the same but is made with new materials. The leading edge and struts are 20% lighter compared to the standard 160 g dacron, and they are also stiffer. This new minimum 125 g dacron provides an even more direct feel, and the narrow canopy improves aerodynamics. The canopy has been replaced with a 55 g triple ripstop fabric, 17% lighter, which offers incredible drift while the high-performance coating ensures high durability. The bridles are made from renewed Technora thread material, allowing the threads to be 25% to 35% thinner without compromising their strength. Thanks to the thinner bridles, they are 25% lighter, reducing drag.

The Ozone Reo V7 kite features a compact and low-profile shape for greater feel, feedback, and control while riding the waves. When you steer the kite from side to side, it provides consistent power, preventing you from being knocked off your surfboard. The three-strut design keeps the weight low while providing maximum support for a stable kite, no matter where it is in the wind window. The new Ozone Reo V7 is less likely to fly to the edge of the wind window when the lines loosen, making it easier to descend down the line on a wave. At the leading edge of the kite, there are EVA anti-flap battens that prevent excessive flutter and improve aerodynamic flow throughout the kite. If you crash the kite while surfing waves and find yourself in the impact zone, the easy relaunch allows you to get the kite back in the air in seconds.

The control lines have two configurations to make the most of a single kite. Configuration 1 is designed for offshore conditions and is placed halfway down the pigtail. This configuration is perfect for onshore to offshore winds, allowing the kite to reach the edge of the wind window even when it is completely depowered. The kite also drifts exceptionally well when sailing the line. Configuration 2 is ideal for land winds, placing the kite a little further back in the wind window. With increased pressure on the bar, you will have a better sense of the kite's position, even when the wind pushes the wave with you.

In summary, if you are looking for a kite for next-level waves, the versatile Ozone Reo V7 kite is perfect for you!
